(758 posts)I'm 50. In pretty good health and in shape. In the early days of the vaccine, people like me were kind of put to the back of the line. Which I fully support and understand.
Vaccinate the most vulnerable first..
Due to that, I procrastinated. That's on me. My fault 100%.
I finally took the initiative once I had seen most of my family members getting their shots. They were doing their part. It woke me up to get my rear end into the clinic and get the vaccine process started.
I was pleasantly surprised to see next-day appointments available in my area and signed up immediately. The next day, I recieved my first shot. EZ-peasy.
I'm a tad embarrassed with myself that I procrastinated. But am so glad that I finally got it done.
A big reason why I wrote this OP is to bring attention to the fact that most any adult can now get the vaccine. There's no excuse to procrastinate like I did.
Hope this helps answer!
