9. that was the running joke here last week before the VP debate

I probably matters somewhat if the media gives you credit for "winning" a debate. However if Obama looks like Biden to Romney's Ryan they are going to have a hard time spinning that two weeks in a row. Either way Obama isn't going to beat Romney that badly. Obama's job is to carry his voter enthusiasm from last weeks debate another week. He is generally up and his job now is to fire up his voters to go out and vote. Romney has to both fire up his base and somehow gain new support. To do that Obama would have to stumble bad. Despite all the "winning" Romney did first debate Obama didn't actually give anything for Romney to attach to and attack with. It was a rather shallow victory outside of getting his base at least a little interested in Romney. So the media can spin the debates all they want. More and more it's the social media and your "friends" that tell you who won. Last week was a good week on social media for dems. The debate format I believe this week isn't one that gives you a lot of in your face one on one candidate interaction.
