9. He actually is representing the 62% that voted for him in West Virginia

Senators represent the state, not the national voters.
According to poll posted this weekend on DU, 60% of his constituents agree with him, and DON'T want him to vote to kill the filibuster.
So, in the end, he is representing his majority.
