6. Hard to say. The Anti-Vaxxers fall into different camps

It's hard to say how many deaths the US will have to suffer before the anti-vaxxers might wise up. Some of them will never wise up: we've seen news reports of anti-Vaxxers railing against COVID vaccines even from their emergency room beds. Maybe it's my lingering idealism, but I think a portion of the anti-vaxxers will eventually get the shot. I can't accurately predict what might make them to finally get vaccinated, but I suspect that a few will pivot with the Republican Party line and decide that that maybe getting vaccinated isn't such a bad thing after all or that life after getting the shot is less hassle than doing without. More will come around as their friends and loved ones succumb to the virus and either die or become permanently debilitated.

I don't know what the size of the "eventuals" and the "party line" camps might be. I fear that both factions are probably only minorities in the anti-vaccine camp and that the rest will continue to rage on. The Virus will continue to do its dirty work. At times I fear a newer, more dangerous, more lethal strain will appear.

I fear that the official death toll may top 750,000 and that the real death toll may top one million.
