But we have shown that when an entire state decides to take something illegal at the federal level and make it legal in their state, in defiance of federal law, it is ok.

See many states that have legalized marijuana.

So the precedent for states ignoring federal laws they don’t like has been set for the GOP and red states to do what they want in regards to a ban on semi-auto weapons. And their local red neck, small town police won’t enforce such a ban on the people they hangout with; especially since they have those guns at home as well.

And they will argue that it seems strange to refer to a weapon as a mass murder weapon, then turn around and ban it from everyone but the same police we have been protesting so heavily for years.

I guess we will see where this all goes. My guess is no red state assault weapon owner is going to lose their guns to a federal ban. But that is my guess.
