68. What should be remembered and studied to commemorate 9/11:

The 1st and 2nd Crusades, Saladin, Spanish Inquisition, Zionism, Gallipoli, Sykes-Picot Agreement, ARAMCO. Plenty of exciting adventures in those histories, about which 90% of Americans have not the vaguest clue.

9/11 was but a bump in a long, rutted and ancient silk road.
