After the election was clearly lost, after every single lawsuit of Crazy Rudy's had been thrown out of court, it was already mid-December. The White House staffers who normally advised or babysat Chump were mostly gone. They were either out with Covid, or they had already quit, they'd been fired, or they were actively seeking their next job elsewhere.
Nobody was babysitting Chump then, not even Jared Kushner who was busy in the Middle East doing whatever he does there. Just Rudy Giuliani, and the various people he brought into the White House including Prof. Eastman and Sydney Powell. They were all feeding Chump's massive ego and his need to be told that "we can still WIN this thing!"
The adults were all gone, nobody was paying attention when this crazy idea was brought up. They put this all together in less than 3 weeks time, and that includes breaks for holidays and New Years'. What I'm saying is that very little effort or planning actually went into it, because we all know that Chump himself did next to nothing except talk. The others might have made a few phone calls and sent out a few tweets. The rest just "happened."
Let's not give these people too much credit, because it really wasn't much of a plan. What if the insurrection had actually succeeded, what if they had stopped the Electoral College from meeting and electing Biden? I'll guarantee you - Chump had NO CLUE what to do next, and neither did Giuliani.
