Somewhere (probably in my brother’s stash) is one given to our dad during his enlistment in the Army during WWII. It had the head of whoever the Pope was at the time, and it had supposedly been blessed.

In any case, medals of the Virgin Mary and St Christopher worn as a necklace are still quite common, though mass produced and unblessed are cherished by those who wear them.
