2. It seems reasonable to not publish these before today...

Why is it remotely unethical or manipulative to keep these private?

They are extremely neutral and extremely natural calls for help from the inside. Not calls for political coordination and strategy from a "journalist" safely outside the Capitol.

This seems like an unreasonable criticism of Sherman.
