I do not understand how your employer buying you a pizza is confirming your thought of exploitation.

When working a bunch of hours we frequently buy lunch. We have a large BBQ pit and sometimes we buy some chicken/ribs or something similar and do it that way. Sometimes we wander over to a local eatery and do it that way. And ... heaven forbid sometimes we buy pizza.

You want to know how you knowe you are being exploited?

You do not make a fair wage.
You have no health benefits.
You have no personal time off.
You have no paid Holidays.
You have no bonus structure.
You do not regular evaluations/raises.

Some dickhead makes you "clock out" for lunch, penalizes your wages when you are "late", forces you to work off the "clock", talks to you with disrespect.

Buying a pizza ... not so much.
