2. When this whole thing started, I was surrounded at the office by coworkers

who said over and over again, "am I the only one who thinks everyone is over-reacting to this?" which morphed to "the flu is worse! why can't we spend this concern on flu deaths?" which morphed into "no worse than ebola! Deaths yes, but very few cases! which morphed to "I think I have a cold, gonna take the next few days off"

Feb 28 of 2020 was an eye opener for those idiots when the company texted everyone with "The office will be closed for the time being. Please contact the state unemployment agency. We will contact you with more information as it becomes available to us"

It's a great example of why I never formally discuss anything outside of my wheelhouse-- we too often come across as ignorant. I'm already stupid, I don't need to add another layer of flavor to it.
