(1,000 posts)for small children who can't get vaxxed, for the immunocompromised, for hourly workers risking their lives in service industry job that have to serve these self absorbed arrogantly ignorant, entitled, clueless wonders. For the battle fatigued and abused frontline healthcare workers mopping up their stupidity.
I held on to a ticket for a cancelled concert for a year, then made the decision not to go because I grew up in the area the concert was being held, I would not risk my life to set next to them. I hoped the band didn't do the old reception line at the tour bus, love that guy and his band. Sure enough, saw my old classmates posting videos, and yep unmasked in the face of a heavy surge here in Ohio.
When the band came around to the city I live in, I had to go, but made sure I got boosted. Had to agree to Covid precautions online before I could buy the ticket. People were masked. But out in the lines there were loud complaints about the precautions. Don't care, neither JB and JT are getting any younger and either am I.
Two years in, my daughter brought it home from work Christmas eve. But I am so far in the clear. South of here, my sister and her husband are routinely harassed for still wearing their masks. He works in a hospital lab. My area complies, but out of town I get the smirks. All my life I have been told I have expressive eyes, so I look away, they don't need to see "Bugger off disease bag!"
