As far as popular support, yeah I think this would be a winner. I haven’t really thought through unintended consequences of reaching into business decisions.

How do they figure they can bypass demand decline attached to price creases? Don’t they see that this just makes renewables a better deal?

I’m guessing they have enough power of computation and quants, must have decided that the short term benefit is worth the risk for them. Praying they are wrong.
