8. I used to work for an organization that used a lot of volunteers.

They worked fairly independently so much of our communication was done by email. That meant my organization periodically received the blanket emails that some volunteers would send out--jokes, heartwarming thoughts for the day, political forwards, etc.

Some time after the 2008 election I got an email from one of the volunteers saying something like I hope everybody who voted for Obama is happy with a rant about whatever issue she was ticked off about. I wanted to reply, "Why, yes I am, thank you for asking," but of course I just sent a professional "Please do not send any emails of this nature to me again."
