On CNN Thursday, during a discussion of the Department of Justice's new probes of GOP officials involved in the fake electors plot, anchor Chris Wallace demanded to know why it has taken so long for these investigations to move ahead.

DOJ knew a year and a half ago when the fake elector documents were sent to the National Archives. The National Archives had to issue a criminal referral to DOJ.

5 months ago the SOS of Michigan issued a criminal referral to DOJ requesting it investigate the fake electors. She then added, if DOJ does not investigate I will investigate the fake electors in Michigan.

If DOJ always gets its ducks in a row before it indicts anyone, why is it not proceeding with the Proud Boy criminal trial? Why has it asked for an extension?
