You allow this religious zealotry into the political sphere this is where it ends: Inquisition 2.0. Anyone and everyone who does not conform to the letter of the hysteria, will be prosecuted and yes, even executed when the 'crime' is considered onerous.

Women were executed, tortured, hanged, burned alive in droves during the height of the witch trials. Heresy, being in league with the Devil, conspiring with demons, yada, yada were the common charges.

Misogyny writ large.

Btw, this is not merely a woman's issue. For all the men who love their mothers and wives, sisters and daughters, this is your issue, too.
