I live in a heavily unionized area. While the area as a whole is blue, most union guys -- and they are guys -- are anti-immigrant, anti-woke (this is a big deal to them), pro gun, not too upset over Roe v. Wade, at times openly racist, and are under the impression that the country always does better and is safer under Republicans.

btw, I have heard these same union guys say that if one doesn't like abortion being illegal in one's state, one should simply move elsewhere.
