You need to find a doctor who will take your problem seriously. Keep looking until you do. I don’t know why, but doctors seem to feel compelled to say ‘It’s all in your head’ rather than ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with you but I’ll try to help’. Im sure that a lot of people with long Covid are going through the same experience with doctors that you are. From the little I’ve read, Covid can at least temporarily impair the part of the brain that processes smell and taste. Many people seem to recover with time, but you need expert advice on how to deal with this until you do. I wish you the best.
