Other countries like us have a lower suicide rate.
Having a gun handy makes a snap decision to end one's life permanent. Pills... not so much. No having second thoughts with a firearm. No calling for help.

US suicide rate: 16.1 per 100K
UK suicide rate: 7.9
Canada suicide rate: 11.8
Germany .... 12.3
Italy .....6.7
