55. im right with you lambchopp

self employed for 25 years. always did ok. Wife hasn't worked in 2,5 years due to long term covid and i have just developed "drop foot". Not a big deal except i work in the forest and mountains. Almost cut my leg off 2 days ago due to my inability to navigate the terrain with a chainsaw. Just cant do it anymore. FUCK! everything i own is for sale save my house for now. I had to shoot my best friend in the head last week because I couldn't afford the vet. Best dog ever! Cant get disability because I can't afford a doctors visit (just got approved for california care or whtevr. goes into effect on 11/01. A small silver lining...)...
In the meantime, tequila is relatively cheap and pot is almost free up here.
That being said, tomorrow is a new day...
