Can one assume you do not have the same public interactions/exposures/fears as those who do and feel the need for some kind of protection? Do you take inner city public transport to work every day? Have you been a victim of violence, rape, trauma?
I'm going to feel entirely different walking around Beverly hills at night than I would, say, St Louis or Detroit and certainly won't rack on anyone if they do and feel the need to carry...if they are trained and do so responsibly.
