Reminds me of tRuman. If it weren't for his big mistake with Korea, he'd be generally acknowledged as one of our greatest presidents. But the MSM groupthink of his day couldn't imagine why someone they branded as "a haberdasher" who accidentally became president was so admired by voters, and in general never changed their mind as his terms continued. Historians with the enormous benefits of hindsight and accumulated study, and not handicapped by needing to belong to the press's "in crowd," provided a very different view.
