15. How did this shit start?

I haven't followed the story, but for those who have more than me, is it clear what the genesis of this story was? Did someone tip off officials that these documents existed?

If the Biden administration pre-emptively turned this stuff in when they realized that they had it (which is what I think I read), it's hard to believe that they weren't prompted by someone on the right who notified them.

The timing of this is so perfect for Trump that I find it hard to believe that it's a naturally occurring thing and that it wasn't a card that was played by someone on his side.
