when the very free market they idolatrize and look to for the meaning of life kicks them in the ass and responds "that was stupid...".

Screaming 'cancel culture' after a bad move like his just removes from them any sense of responsibility for their own mess, and they get to continue blithely blaming everyone else for their own cock-ups.
