And add to that, there's a toxic cultural taboo against family, friends, coworkers and neighbors coming forward BEFORE an incident. How many times, after the bodies are counted, do we hear "Oh I always knew so-and-so was nutz. Oh, he massed billions of guns. Oh, he was in and out of trouble..."

There's no focus on lifting the taboo, or holding people accountable when they close their eyes instead.
