Dog entertains himself the only way he knows how!

22. My cat does a version of that with a toy he's been playing fetch with for 17 years

and counting. He prefers it if we throw it, but he will set it up to fall, run away from it and hide and then pounce to grab it when it's falling or when it hits the ground. When it doesn't fall right he'll drape it over himself (it is a stick with a stuffy on the end) and then walk around with it on his back. Sometimes he'll do this kind of baby cry when he's doing pretend play by himself which used to really freak us out.

He's our dog-cat. He even barks, which we found out from the vet who put him under anesthesia is due to an extra fold of tissue in his larynx. She said she's never seen that in a cat in all her years of practice.

He's a unique little dude. So much personality.
