And while the public schools here leave a lot to be desired, thanks to the presence of Los Alamos National Labs, Sandia National Labs, UNM, NMSU, there are a lot of well educated persons here doing a lot. It's also important that in this state there are a LOT of recent immigrants from Central or South America, who don't speak English, who don't have a clue about the importance of finishing grade school, let alone high school. Despite that, this state does, in my opinion, a remarkable job of educating new students, all students.
