11. The Catholic Church requires religious counciling for

couples who are getting married. They call it Pre Cana classes.

Colonial Puritans in New England used to have a religious tax that everyone had to pay. Connecticut continued it after the US was established until it was challenged in court.

I have no doubt that dominionists would establish both practices as law, and much more.

When I attended public school in PA in the 1950s and early 1960s, PA law required public school teachers to begin each day by reading to the class a chapter from the King James Bible. I didn't know anyone who was atheist or agnostic at that time (or who dared to admit it), but there were Catholics and a Jewish family in my school who resented it.

The law was overturned by a SCOTUS ruling when I was in junior high. The pastor of our church gave a sermon that supported the ruling in the name of religious freedom. One of the things that I remember him saying was that it is the responsibility of parents and their place of worship to teach religion to their kids, not the public schools.
