I would hope that this was planned and well thought out and backed by data.

So if the party rallies behind Harris I think the next step would be for Joe to step down and make Harris the President. Then she will fully be running as an incumbent, takes away the first woman issue and she can demonstrate her ability to the electorate. The downside is if something goes wrong and is mishandled.

Otherwise the convention should be open and the delegates pick the strongest candidate.

Regardless, I am thankful for Joe Biden’s leadership and for putting the interest of the American people first.
