Sitting behind a desk is not the same as active field involvement. It just isn't.

If a distinction is not made, many will not look any further than just saying they served. That is what you are advocating. Let Vance present himself as having done service that's equivalent to Walz's.

And keep in mind--that's my background--writing press releases and all the stuff Vance did. If anyone should know, it is I.

It's like saying a physical education degree and a physics degree are equivalent. They're not.
