(113,093 posts)because in 2016, people only knew that havily scripted, heavily made up brlliant executive on TV and thought he really was that guy instead of a fuckup with multiple bankrupties, multiple divorces, and the worst personality disorder possible.
It didn't matter that his speeches were all bluster and nobody could undersatnad a word he said, he throew enough buzzwords in thaat they knew when to cheer and his staff led them in shouting slogans. Shouting slogans is fun, just like back in high school during football season. Yay team.
I was thrilled when Biden was able to defeat him in 2020. Biden is quietly competent, no bluster at all, a poor public speaker because of his struggle with stuttering.
I was not surprised he won in 2016. People have no excuse this time.
