It is not in their nature to see others as people, they just can't do it. Before the Tea Party it was just there but not as obvious. It was always "Them", "What about Them?"

But there is another class in the U.S. besides White and Non-White, it is wealth. The wealthy see the non wealthy as things that want to take away the wealth from them. They do not trust the non-wealthy.
