I am not one who screams about NYT, so maybe I don't know that way of thought. NYT did endorse Harris, as I am sure you know, which kind of surprised me based on what they put on page one every day.

I'm not seeing this as really about the newspaper as much as about what it reflects about the owner and the billionaire oligarch model and the connection to fascism. I know NYT also has owners we might not want to hang out with, but Bezos is in a different league. It's not just WP; it's Amazon, too, and Whole Foods, etc. It's asking that city in the Netherlands to take down their bridge so his boat could get through (forgetting details right now). It's the whole Bezos package.

It's also solidarity with actual journalists who want to practice journalism. He and his henchmen have dismissed their expertise and wisdom.

I will miss WaPo. I just cancelled Amazon Prime, which has become way too much of my life.
