I have to keep telling myself that I can't consider my town or state, VT, as representative. I can't consider my large, spread out over the country family typical. We aren't we are kind of split between very liberal, liberal and a few centrists - who are appalled by Trump. I certainly can't consider DU as representative.
My conclusion, I am so in as much a bubble as these Trump supporters in red states convinced that they are by far the majority Until the election is called, I will have this vague fear that in spite of all the incredible rallies things can go bad.
Many here speak of PTSD from 2016. I probably experienced more PTSD from 2004. Until the last week or two, it looked hopeless in the fall. Then at the very end things seemed to turn. On election day, we heard that Kerry was doing very well in exit polls. At the NJ Democratic county headquarters, there was euphoria. Every thing seemed possible ..... Until about 8 pm.
