“Listen here, sweetheart,” [outspoken conservative lawyer Mike] Davis continued, addressing [N.Y. Attorney General Letitia] James. “We’re not messing around this time, and we will put your fat ass in prison for conspiracy against rights. I promise you that.”
Davis spoke after James, who won a $355 million civil verdict against Trump’s companies, held a news conference and said her office is prepared to “fight back” against policy and regulatory threats from the Trump administration.
Davis posted on X that [special counsel Jack] Smith should “lawyer up,” and said in an appearance on Newsmax that Smith “should go to prison for engaging in a criminal conspiracy against President Trump.”
In an interview, Davis said he made the comments because “I wanted to send a very powerful political message. The American people delivered their verdict on Tuesday and this lawfare must end.”

"Conspiracy against rights" is the kind of meaningless bullshit fascists use to justify their crimes. It's from the same playbook used by the Nazis.
N.Y. Attorney General Letitia James and special counsel Jack Smith are U.S. citizens protected by civil rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, the supreme law of the land. Neither of them have committed any crimes and were merely carrying out their official duties. Donald Trump is the one who violated N.Y. business fraud laws and violated the U.S. Constitution when he attempted an unsuccessful coup against the U.S. government four years ago. That's the person Trump voters are returning to power.
If Trump follows through on his retribution threats, then every person who voted for him is morally responsible.
