(8,472 posts)I assume that number comes from Charlie Spoonamore's Duty to Warn Letter where he said "Approximately 600,000 votes are for Donald Trump but with no down ballot choices." Part of the problem with his claims is he cited numbers but never provided actual raw data that proved the numbers he cited were accurate. Well, in reality the numbers he cited were garbage. He cited in that same letter the number of Trump only ballots were 7.2% of Trump's total votes. In reality, they were at most 2.3% of his total votes. He said in Nevada they were 5.5% of his total votes. In reality they were at most 2.7% of his total. He cited Utah as a non-swing state where there were less than 1000 "bullet ballots", yet there were 25000 more votes for President than there were for Senate in that state, so it looks like there were a significantly higher level of bullet ballots there than he claimed.
When these claims of bullet ballots first popped up, they were intriguing. But even with the limited amount of data Spoonamore actually shared publicly, it was very simple to prove his claims were total Bull Shit.
