23. We had twelve Military Hueys in Colorado

Many years ago, which were especially equipped for Wilderness Firefighting and used every summer.

Our Republican Governor at the time, Gov. Owens wanted to go to Washington D.C., and join Bush sooo bad he would do anything.

Bush called him and asked him for eleven of our twelve helicopters to be "parted out" to be used for spare parts.

Owens sent him the eleven of the twelve the next day...........

What can one say about Republicans, esp Republican Governors......

Interestingly, Owens was never was asked to come to Washington. It seems both Bush and Owens Wife had both learned about the SECOND child of his, born out of wedlock. I guess his wife was okay with Owens first affair that resulted in a child, but finally had enough when he had an affair with a different woman who also had his child......LOL Obviously Bush's administration wised up also.....LOL

You can bet that California, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington are not going to receive any help with anything from the Trump administration because we are BLUE states. (Ps: Massachusetts had the same problem with Covid PPE not reaching them because they were a BLUE state during Trump's first reign......where as Florida received THREE TIMES the PPE they requested).
