20. As an elder Millennial my empathy for them

has gone out of the window. At first, I felt bad for Gen Z having to go through what they did with COVID and inflation and cost of living issues. What they are going through reminds me of how Millennials suffered with 9/11, financial crisis, etc. I looked at them as that younger sibling you feel bad for since they are also dealing with the same abusive parent that you dealt with.

Gen Z instead of using their suffering to force positive change they used it to force destructive change when it came to embracing racism and Trump. This generation is even more racist than the Millennial generation. That's the thing that really surprises me about them. They really debunked my belief that as each generation that comes after becomes less racist than the previous generation.
