BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Two icons of the Civil Rights Movement in Alabama, the Montgomery Bus Station and the Freedom Rides Museum, had been on the federal government's list of buildings for sale.
That's no longer the case.
According to Alabama Senator Katie Britt, "I have been in communication with the Administration and this has been resolved. The Montgomery Bus Station and Freedom Rides Museum will not be on GSA’s non-core list.”
