In reply to the discussion: It is not normal or ok for a sitting Judge to be arrested by the FBI in a courtroom [View all]tornado34jh
(1,521 posts)With an administrative warrant, you can't enter a private place or a place where there is a expectation of privacy such as courtroom without consent. Very important distinction. For example, if somebody came to your house to search your place without a judicial warrant, would you consent to that? Also, they could have waited until after the hearing, or better yet, tell the chief judge or whoever is the main person there well in advance. Heck, the courtroom opened at 8:15 am, so I doubt the judge could have had enough time to get to him in the docket. Also, perhaps you should ask the local/state police if he was arrested, particularly in regards to the serious charges against them. Normally, you would have a bail or some type of hearing. It sounds like there wasn't.
