By insisting that the post-COVID recovery be bottom-up instead of top-down, he went against the traditional recovery strategy favored by both parties, which was to just pump billions into the banks. The results contributed some to inflation but experts were genuinely surprised that a recession didn't follow because all their models were based on the traditional strategy. Biden rewrote the playbook on them. That's real, meaningful leadership. But we don't seem to hear a lot about it because it goes against the "wisdom" of the usual vested interests in finance and the media.
