But when (not if) order is restored, there needs to be absolute ruthlessness in holding these people accountable. If there needs to be Nuremberg-style trials, so be it. Many people need to go to prison for life, or worse.

There's no way to play nice or go high when they go low after this. Some folks aren't going to have the stomach for what needs to be done, and in that case, they should look away.
