2. We can write a letter.

We can tell a friend. And we can tell everyone in the nation: We are in the shit and the only thing we can do about it is to get together and do something -- express our displeasure at the destruction wrought by Trump and the kakistocrats who work for him.

Here's where I always start, when entering such discussions:

We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

From there we form agreement and can discuss further. If they don't like the Constitution, I say, "Later" and ghost away. And I don't bother to tell them why.
