...to keep them from passing and signing into law a federal minimum wage increase.

House Democrars recently passed a federal minimum wage increase -- it was blocked by McConnell and his Senate Republicans.

When Democrats won back the Senate, they tried to pass a federal minimum wage increase again, but it was voted down, most notably by Sinema who later got ran out of the party for her antics.

The last time the federal minimum wage was increased was when voters gave Democrats significant political majorities in both chambers and, until they do so again, it will continue to be stuck right where Republicans want it.
