1. A friend of mine met her on a sailing trip to Cabo in '82, and was just infatuated with her.

Nothing happened - much to his chagrin - but he would often tell me how sweet she was (besides her beauty - which he assured me was even more so in person).

She was doing a photo shoot, which appeared in Life magazine in, I believe, the January 1983 issue.

Then, 25 years later, he ran into her at the Brentwood, CA, dog park. They talked for an hour, reminiscing about that weekend in Cabo and some things since then - until her husband showed up (he was none too pleased).

My friend passed on in 2016. To this day, I can't see a picture of Brooke Shields without being reminded of his telling me all about that weekend in Cabo and that afternoon in the dog park.
