I voted early yesterday. [View all]

My town has an election for city council and a proposal on Tuesday. I went to the community center and I was the only voter in the room. I couldn't help but contrast that with when I went to vote early in the 2024 presidential election. I tried to go almost every day but the line was so long, all the way down the hall and turned down another hall. I was happy to see that (although I didn't want to wait in a line that long) because I've always thought that a big turnout bodes well for the Democrats. Alas, not so this time, grasshopper.

I ended up going to my regular polling place on election day and I was in and out in five minutes. Just like yesterday.
