8. I was once thrown out of a NJ polling place

I was campaign manager for the Democrats running for Council in a town in Bergen County and as soon as I walked into a polling place a Republican recognized me and quickly and loudly protested my presence without credentials saying that I was "electioneering" at the polls (which I wasn't). I had gone there to bring coffee and donuts to the poll workers (including the Republicans). So I left after announcing that those who wanted coffee and donuts could come outside to the parking lot to get them.

NJ is very strict about who is allowed inside at the polls or within 100 feet of their entrances.
