8. Some of the Russian banks were laundering his money

I don't know if that ties him to the KGB ... but he had transactions that some American banks wouldn't touch.

Also, I'm just spitballing here, maybe some of the oligarchs were Epstein's investment clients? There were trying to invest in American stocks etc., and he might have helped them out.
