Those countries do have mixed economies, but as you point out, that includes socialism. The very socialism that our House condemned this very day. If we accept that condemnation then we are saying some evil is okay. Of course, the "horrors" associated with socialism isn't socialism at all. It was and is despotism. And that's what those countries lack. That is why they are happy. Economically, they have something approaching decency while retaining democracy.
