Bush and his "Homeland Security" if you give people in any department...especially one you create specifically... the power will always go above and beyond what was intended. Money corrupts; but power corrupts even worse than money. And here we are... the CIA, DOJ, and FBI (as well as all the subsidiary policing forces) are allied against the very people they were suppose to protect.

We live now in a police state, where bad words against trump can get you arrested or killed. We no longer have rights and privileges as per our Constitution. That Constitution has been torn to pieces and taped back together as a quasi "rights of confederation" ala the Deep South.

That Truman and others couldn't see the dangers these departments would cause with a pitiful, sorrowful, reality-denying South is a demerit against any and all presidents who didn't try to rein in these departments. And that includes all parties. The best we can hope for now is to turn these agencies against trump, his administrative minions, and maga in general in order to make our country back into something of which it once resembled. And, once that is done, truly and really kill most of these departments. When we started imprisoning more people here in the US than they do in China, it should have been a red flag warning these policing powers were out of control.
